BoTran uses English as the default Language for creating the templates and classes.
If you are creating your app in English as the Default Language, you don't need to do anything with the accompanying TRN files unless you want to change or customize some of the Messages used for errors, etc.
If you are using ABC Chain or Legacy, you need to fill out:
If you are using Legacy, you need to fill out: If you are using the BoTran Translatable Legacy Previewer you need to fill out:
If English is not the Default Language used by your app, then Edit the ,REPLACE('') property in each string you want to substitute your alternate Language text for. This is a one time thing, as it re-uses these files for creating each new Language file for each app. BoTran uses these files and translations for establishing the "default text" for its print preview, Error Messages, Locale settings, and legacy error messages. BoTran Reads in your ABERROR.TRN to get your default errors in ABC Chain.
BoTran creates a "*.BTS" or BoTran Substitution file that replaces any TRN and ENV files that need to be shipped with your app for the different Languages you wish to Translate too. This will translate your main app, and will not necessarily translate any 3rd Party add on's, unless they are specifically mentioned as being supported by BoTran. See Compatibility. I am adding 3rd Party support as the vendors come forward, or helping them add support for BoTran.
